Business Management Magazine, bizSanDiego, Hires Senior Staff to Drive Magazine and Web Site Content

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) February 8, 2007-- bizSanDiego announces the appointment of two full-time employees to the business management magazine’s editorial staff to guide the editorial direction of bizSanDiego, a brand comprised of emerging tools and resources designed to foster meaningful conversations among members of the city of San Diego business community.

Jon Hindman will join bizSanDiego as editor of the brand’s magazine and Web site. John Lincoln will expand his role at bizSanDiego by taking on the duties of associate editor and Web master. In these roles, Hindman and Lincoln will help fulfil the brand’s goal of sparking “conversations that matter” among San Diego business leaders.

Hindman brings more than nine years of editorial experience to his new role as editor. Hindman first delved into the Internet, honing his skills as editor for RaceGate.com (now Active.com), and later as content producer for CarPrices.com. In 2000, he made the transition to print journalism by joining the editorial staff of California CEO, a state-wide magazine geared toward C-level executives. Hindman, who lives in Poway with his wife and two sons, has a long-standing history in San Diego, where as a freelancer he contributed business and lifestyle articles for various publications, including NORTH San Diego County Magazine and the San Diego Business Journal.

“Selecting the right person to oversee the editorial content for bizSanDiego was critical. We needed to find someone with the same vision and commitment to the San Diego business community as my partners and I have for the brand,” said Brian Sacks, publisher of bizSanDiego. “In Jon Hindman, we’ve found that person; his distinguished career in both print and online journalism throughout San Diego speaks for itself.”

In his position as associate editor and Web master, Lincoln will provide editorial content, develop the bi-weekly “bizBuzz” newsletter and manage the business magazine’s presence – bizSanDiego.com. A native of San Diego, Lincoln received a bachelor of arts in literature from University of California, Santa Cruz, and is currently pursuing a master’s in business administration from Alliant International University.

“John Lincoln has been with bizSanDiego since its inception and has been instrumental in upholding the brand,” said Sacks. “His appointment to the senior staff as associate editor and Web master was the natural choice, and we are pleased to have him on board.”
